Mission

Since the inaugural Missouri State Fair in 1901, millions of people have visited the Fairgrounds during the annual State Fair and throughout the year to attend off-season events and activities.

Established in 1998, the Missouri State Fair Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit 501(c)3 entity dedicated to preserving the rich heritage and traditions of the Missouri State Fair.

The Foundation seeks to improve the fairgrounds through the construction of new facilities and the renovation of existing buildings, many of which are on the National Historic Register.

The Foundation also seeks to preserve the rich traditions of the Missouri State Fair by assisting the fair in providing a quality experience for the fairgoer.

So, why a Foundation?

• Because we want future generations to enjoy the rich heritage and traditions of the Missouri State Fair;

• Because the State Fair needs additional funds to construct new buildings and renovate existing buildings;

• Because we want to provide friends of the Missouri State Fair with a variety of giving opportunities to help support this great Missouri blue ribbon tradition.
