MISSOURI STATE FAIR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

The Missouri State Fair Foundation sponsors and administers the scholarships financially, which are awarded through the Missouri 4-H Foundation.

Monies raised at the 2009 Governor's Ham Breakfast from the commission levied against the sale price of the Grand and Reserve Grand Champion hams and bacon, and the sale price of the State Fair Belt Buckle and Foundation souvenir basket, will be designated as the Missouri State Fair Foundation Scholarship Fund.

Six scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each will be awarded for the 2010-2011 academic year, and may be claimed for the school term beginning in the fall of 2010.  Deadline for application is April 1, 2010.

The criteria and determination for awarding the scholarship will be made by the MO 4-H Foundation.  The criteria and requirements established by the MO 4-H Foundation, along with the appropriate application, can be obtained from the MO 4-H Foundation at their web site mo4h.missouri.edu.

Applicants must plan to enroll in an accredited university or college in the state of Missouri.  Upon notification of the award of scholarship by the MO 4-H Foundation, the Missouri State Fair Foundation will send the scholarship funds in a check made payable to the recipient and the accredited school, upon verification of enrollment at the beginning of the school term of 2010.

The Missouri State Fair Foundation requests the scholarship recipients be advised of our desire to have them attend and be recognized at the 2010 Missouri State Fair "Governor's Ham Breakfast" held on Thursday, August 19.
