One of the greatest needs at the Missouri State Fair is seating and rest areas throughout the 396-acre fairgrounds. To meet this need—and to generate revenue for other much-needed Fair projects—the Missouri State Fair Foundation has created the “Have a Seat” giving program.
For a $500 gift, friends of the Missouri State Fair can purchase a wooden bench for placement on the fairgrounds. Each bench is permanently identified with a nameplate containing an inscription of the donor’s choice. The donor is also able to recommend a location for the bench. (Final placement, however, is determined by Missouri State Fair staff.)
