In 1901, the inaugural Missouri State Fair took place in Sedalia, Missouri.  Since then, millions have visited the Fairgrounds during the annual State Fair, and throughout the year to attend off season events and activities.  The Missouri State Fair Foundation was established in 1998 to preserve, improve and perpetuate the State Fairgrounds and State Fair for future generations of Missourians.

The Missouri State Fair Foundation, through its Board of Directors and members, seeks to improve the Fairgrounds through construction of new facilities, and the renovation of existing buildings, many of which are on the National Historic Register.  The goal of the Foundation is a modern and functional Fairgrounds which does not compromise the architecture and history of our facilities.

The Missouri State Fair Foundation is an independent, not for profit 501(c)3 entity dedicated to preserving the rich heritage and traditions of the Missouri State Fair.  We invite you to explore this web site, and to join our Foundation as a donor member or volunteer.
