Projects Completed

2010

The Foundation granted more than $60,000 directly to the Missouri State Fair during 2010 for capital and program improvements, including:

  • New canvas awnings to cover bleacher seating at State Fair Arena
  • New concrete at the Midway entrance to improve accessibility and help with water drainage
  • Asphalt improvements to all major roads on the fairgrounds

Since the Foundation’s establishment in 1998, more than $750,000 has been spent on improvements at the Missouri State Fair, including:

  • construction of the FFA Building, State Fair Museum, and Kids’ Zone Stage
  • renovation of the Home Economics Building
  • purchase of new sound system in the Lowell Mohler Assembly Hall
  • electrical upgrades in the campgrounds
  • installation of more than 50 permanent benches on the fairgrounds
