Mel Willard is a former Director of the Missouri State Fair, retiring in December, 2006.. Before being selected as Fair Director in 2001, he was Assistant Director of the Fair and Facilities Manager, and was a member of the Missouri State Fair staff for over twenty years. He previously was an educator and high school teacher. He is member of numerous organizations and associations involving fairs and agriculture.
