2020 Scholarship Recipients

Youth in Agriculture Scholarship Now Available

The Missouri State Fair Foundation Youth in Agriculture scholarship application for high school seniors is now available. Applications must be postmarked by February 1, 2021. One $5,000 platinum scholarship, four $2,500 supreme scholarships, and twenty-five $1,500 scholarships will be awarded.

Applicants must be high school seniors and active members of 4-H or FFA, and have participated at least once as a 4-H or FFA exhibitor at the Missouri State Fair. Eligible scholarship applicants must plan to enroll in an accredited Missouri community college or a four-year-college or university in the fall/spring semester immediately following graduation from high school. Applicants are not required to pursue a degree in agriculture, however, a five point bonus will be given to applicants pursuing a degree in agriculture during the selection process.

2020 YOUTH IN AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

PLATINUM SCHOLARSHIP - $5,000

Anderson Rogers, son of Mike & Shelly Rogers.Anderson is from Bethany and is a member of the South Harrison FFA Chapter and the Sky High 4-H Club.Anderson plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia and major in Agriculture Business.Anderson believes he can influence people’s lives for the better while advocating for the agriculture industry in his hometown.

SUPREME SCHOLARSHIP - $2,500

Shelby Stille, daughter of Ned & Maria Stille.Shelby is from Bellflower and is a member of the Montgomery County R-II FFA Chapter and the Bellflower Boosters 4-H Club.Shelby plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia and major in Pre-Veterinary Medicine/Animal Science.Shelby wants to use her future career in veterinary medicine to give back to the organizations and community members who have helped her, and encourage young people to enter the field of agriculture.

Allena Allen, daughter of Jason & Sarah Allen.Allena is from Trenton and is a member of the Trenton FFA Chapter and the Busy Bees 4-H Club.

Clint Bailey, son of Ryan & Melissa Bailey.Clint is from Curryville and is a member of the Bowling Green FFA Chapter and the Peppy Circle 4-H Club.

Jenna Berendzen, daughter of Brad & Julie Berendzen.Jenna is from California and is a member of the California FFA Chapter and the Show Me 4-H Club.

Connor Brown, son of Matt & Heather Brown.Connor is from Lamar and is a member of the Lamar FFA Chapter and the Make-it-Happen 4-H Club.

Sydney Burkemper, daughter of Susan Hupper.Sydney is from Silex and is a member of the Silex FFA Chapter and the Fun-damentals 4-H Club.
